Empty the soil mix into the aquatic planting basket, and plant the rhizomes so that the growing point sits just below the soil surface. Cover the surface of the soil with the gravel to hold the compost in place. It is recommended that the planting basket is gently submerged in a bucket of water to allow the compost to become completely soaked through. This will allow any loose compost to float to the surface before you position it in the main planting bowl. Place the planting bowl in its final position – choose a sunny or lightly shaded spot. Transfer the planting basket to the bowl and then gently fill with water.
