Hardy Tradescantia are useful border plants with unusual 3-petalled flowers produced over a long period, nestled amongst long, sword-shaped evergreen leaves. These versatile clump-forming perennials are unfussy about soil and grow well in sun or in part shade. Tradescantia ‘J.C. Weguelin’ bears clusters of beautiful pale blue blooms with contrasting yellow stamens throughout summer and into autumn, and looks fabulous planted with day lilies (Hemerocallis). Height: 60cm (24in). Spread: 45cm (18in).
Grow hardy Tradescantia in moist but well-drained, fertile soil in sun or part shade. Cut back spent flower stems to stimulate reblooming and fresh new growth.
