Rose Banksiae Var. Banksiae (Climbing Rose)

This vigorous climbing species rose needs plenty of space to be appreciated at its finest. Rose banksiae var. banksiae produces long, virtually thornless stems that will happily scale walls and look wonderful trained through the branches of large trees. In late spring, clusters of small, fully double, creamy white flowers with a heavenly violet perfume are borne in profusion. The White Banksian Rose prefers a sheltered spot against a warm wall. Although capable of tremendous growth if left un-pruned, it makes a most elegant and unforgettable display where space allows. Height: 7m (22’). Spread: 3m (10’).
