Red Hot Poker ‘Mango Popsicle’

Specially bred for a compact dwarf habit and terrific bright colour! Red Hot Poker ‘Mango Popsicle’ is a fabulous evergreen perennial that will certainly make its presence felt in herbaceous borders. Vibrant orange flower spikes rise above attractive grassy foliage from June right through to October. Like all Kniphofia, it is resilient and surprisingly drought tolerant, needing virtually no maintenance. Height: 35cm (14″). Spread: 40cm (16″).

Red Hot Poker ‘Mango Popsicle’ is a gorgeous addition to any vibrant, herbaceous border. As the name suggests the colour of the flowers of this Kniphofia is a rich mango orange-yellow. The flower stems are in bloom between July and October and the grassy foliage is evergreen. It is a dwarf variety of Red Hot Poker; part of the ‘Popsicle series’. They look fantastic planted alongside each other, all with different shades of orange, yellow and red. They are very easy to grow, are drought tolerant and are ideal for borders and large containers in a range of settings from the gardens of city terraces to thatched cottages. Height: 35cm (14″).
