Phygelius X Rectus Funfare Orange

Bring an exotic feel to your patio or late summer colour to your borders with Phygelius ‘Funfare Orange’, a showy and hardworking semi-evergreen shrub. From June right through to September, upright stems bear nodding trumpet-shaped blooms in a beautiful shade of pinkish orange with yellow throats. Hailing from South Africa, this Cape Fuchsia enjoys a sheltered position, but is generally hardy in mild parts of the UK and can be grown as a semi-evergreen shrub if given adequate winter protection. The perfect specimen plant for a sunny spot! Height and spread: 70cm (28in).

Grow Cape Fuchsias in patio containers or borders, in any moist, well drained soil. Position in a sunny or semi shaded site which is protected from cold winds over winter. Container-grown plants can be moved to a frost free position over winter. Border-grown Phygelius will benefit from winter protection such as an autumn mulch of chipped bark or leaf mould.
