Petunia ‘Surfinia Star Burgundy’ is a particularly pretty bicolour variety with all the vigour and flower power that we’ve come to except from a Surfinia Petunia. Long stems of up to 90cm (36″), spill from window boxes and hanging baskets in a cascade of colourful blooms. Like all Surfinias, it is easy to grow, with a robust habit and weatherproof blooms. For a carpet of colour, try planting it in beds and borders. Trails to: 90cm (36″).
It’s easy to see why Surfinia Petunias are so popular. With long cascading stems and unsurpassable flower power, these annual are hard to beat! Petunia ‘Surfinia Star Burgundy’ is a lovely colour selection, with bicolour blooms that create a cheery summer display. Pot up petunia plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions for transplanting later on. Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before transplanting them outdoors into baskets, window boxes and containers in well drained soil, in full sun.
