The Titan Giant Petunia range produces some of the largest petunia flowers available – 10cm (4in) or more across! Despite the incredible size of the blooms, these luxurious petunias show good weather resistance, standing up to summer rains to create fabulous container and hanging basket displays from June right through to October. Titan petunias are uniform plants with just enough of a trailing habit to create a cascading display of colour. Height: 40cm (16in).
Petunia Giant Collection contains (5 plug pack / 10 plug pack):
- Petunia ‘Titan Giant White’ (1 plug / 2 plugs) – pure white blooms with subtle light green veins radiating from a yellow eye.
- Petunia ‘Titan Giant Lavender’ (2 plugs / 4 plugs) – right violet blooms with deeper purple veining radiating from a dark eye.
- Petunia ‘Titan Giant Purple Star Vein’ (2 plugs / 4 plugs) – lilac blooms with a stunning pattern of deep purple veining radiating from a deep velvety purple star at the centre of each bloom.
Pot up petunia plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions for transplanting later on. Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days, before transplanting them outdoors into baskets, window boxes and containers in well drained soil, in full sun. Feed and water petunia plants regularly, particularly during hot, dry periods. Regular deadheading of petunia flowers will encourage further blooms to be produced throughout the summer.
