Osteospermums are one of longest flowering of all garden plants. Keep them regularly deadheaded and they will reward you with an abundance of cheerful daisies from early summer until the first frosts. Drought tolerant once established, they’re also supremely versatile – suiting containers, borders, edging and rockeries. They look equally at home in a relaxed, cottage-garden scheme or a dry, coastal garden. Height and spread: 35cm (14in).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Pot up hardy osteospermum daisies and grow them on in frost free conditions until plants are well grown. When plants are well developed and all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before planting them outdoors into borders and patio containers. Grow osteospermum plants in any well drained soil in a warm, sheltered position in full sun. African Daisies dislike cold wet soils. Improve heavy soil prior to planting by adding plenty of coarse grit.
