If you are looking for flowering perennials that really earn their keep, then you can’t beat hardy Osteospermums. Pot up hardy osteospermum daisies and grow them on in frost free conditions until plants are well grown. When plants are well developed and all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before planting them outdoors into borders and patio containers. Grow osteospermum plants in any well drained soil in a warm, sheltered position in full sun. African Daisies dislike cold wet soils. Improve heavy soil prior to planting by adding plenty of coarse grit.
