Nymphaea ‘Gladstoniana’ (Deep Water Aquatic)

Unsurpassable in lakes and large ponds! Crisp white petals form huge, cup-shaped blooms with contrasting golden stamens. The large, glossy, dark green leaves float on the surface of the water creating a superb backdrop for the dramatic blooms of Nymphaea ‘Gladstoniana’. This RHS AGM variety makes an outstanding alternative to British native Nymphaea alba, being showier and more free flowering. Height: 150cm (99″). Spread: 180cm (70″). Grow waterlilies in still water away from splashing fountains. Gently lower containers into the water and position them on temporary supports such as bricks so that they sit just 20cm (8″) below the surface of the water. As the leaves grow to rest on the water surface, the container can be gradually lowered to its final depth below the water.
