An exciting new hardy, compact lavender bred specifically for the British climate, Lavender ‘BeeZee® Light Blue’ even improves on the very popular ‘Hidcote’.
Lavender ‘BeeZee® Light Blue’ is more vigorous and free-flowering than ‘Hidcote’, with fat, light blue flower spikes borne in continuous abundance from summer to autumn. It is also more compact and uniform – making it perfect as a tidy pot specimen, edging paths or as low hedging, without the danger of flopping over. The foliage is slightly coarser than ‘Hidcote’ but shares the same colour – the evergreen leaves are silver-grey in winter, turning grey-green in summer. Flowering readily in its first year, you can look forward to the smell and colour of this rewarding new variety, plus the constant hum of bees enjoying its masses and masses of flowers for months on end. Height 40-50cm (16-20in), Spread 40-50cm (16-20in).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.

Grow English lavender plants on free draining soil in full sun. Lavenders dislike wet ground, particularly during winter. Improve heavy soil conditions by adding coarse grit or sharp sand prior to planting. When growing English lavender in large patio containers, use a well drained soil based compost such as John Innes No. 3. After planting, prune lavender plants to encourage bushy growth.
