Japanese Blood Grass Plants – Red Baron
Leaves that change colour!
A stunning, spiky-looking grass with lime-green leaves that turn progressively through burgundy-red to claret-blood-red in late summer and into autumn. Ideal for borders or patio containers, it shows good drought tolerance once established. Height 30-50cm (12-20″); spread 30cm (12″). Middle of border variety.
Ideal for bringing a contemporary flavour to borders or containers, these tough, easy-to-grow plants will thrive in most soils. Stunning when planted in groups and perfect for flanking paths or edging flower beds. The summer flower spikes are an added bonus.
Potted Plants
Our smaller potted plants will benefit from being potted on to the next pot size with fresh compost and grown on before adding to the garden, particularly if supplied through autumn, winter and early spring. From Late spring and through summer they can be planted directly into the garden. It is always a good idea to acclimatise them to outdoor conditions before planting – place them outside by day and under cover by night for 7-10 days before planting.
