Hebe ‘Blue Gem’

A splendid Hebe that makes a fine specimen shrub! The violet flowers of Hebe ‘Blue Gem’ are borne in mid-summer above the rounded, dark green leaves. The foliage is evergreen, creating a pleasing backdrop for summer perennials, even when it is not in flower. This easy going Hebe is trouble free and undemanding. An ideal choice for coastal gardens and wildlife areas, where its blooms will attract butterflies and pollinating insects. Height and spread: 120cm (48″). Grow Hebe plants in moist, well drained, light sandy soil. Avoid planting Hebes on acid soils. Choose a position in full sun or semi shade and sheltered from strong winds.
