Geranium Appleblossom Rosebud

Beautiful rosebud flowers in shades of white and pink. The name says it all – clusters of rose-like blooms in apple blossom shades of delicate pink and white. Strong garden performance will take them through to the first hard frost of autumn, but rosebud geraniums are fabulous for flower arranging, too. The unusual florets make a striking addition to any vase arrangement. Captivating rosebud blooms open to reveal large, bicoloured clusters of fully double, pink and white flowers. This delightful zonal geranium has retained its popularity since the Victorian age and remains admired and sought after today. The long flowering period and drought tolerance of Geranium ‘Appleblossom’ make it ideal for creating an enchanting display in borders and patio containers that will last well into autumn. Pot up pelargonium plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise geraniums to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days before transplanting them into their final positions in containers, beds and borders. Plant geraniums in a sunny or semi-shaded position, in any light, non-acidic, well drained soil. Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on.
