Fontinalis Antipyretica (Oxygenating Aquatic)

Fontinalis antipyretica is a useful oxygenating aquatic that also provides superb cover for fish and other pond life. The long evergreen stems of Water Moss grow fully submerged up to a depth of 1m (39″) making this a valuable oxygenator for most garden ponds. The evergreen stems will grow all year round, helping to improve the aquatic environment even throughout the winter months. Height and spread: 40cm (16″). Planting depth: Zones 2, 3 & 4 to 100cm (39″) below water level. Fontinalis may be dropped into a pond as a weighted bunch of stems, to a maximum depth of 100cm (39″). Water Moss can be grown in either still or flowing water. Where water is fast flowing it should be anchored by tying bunches to a large stone or brick. Choose a position in sun or semi-shade.
