Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
Once you have seen Fascicularia in full flower, it is quite impossible to forget! This extraordinary Bromeliad is a Chilean native with linear silver-green foliage that forms a spreading, evergreen rosette. The leaves are tough with a sharp, serrated edge. Grow Fascicualaria in poor, sharply drained soil in full sun. In free draining soils, it will tolerate short periods down to -5C (23F). However, these plants particularly resent cold, wet soils. In areas where cold, wet winters are common, it is best grown in a container that can be moved to a frost free greenhouse or conservatory during the winter months.
