Dahlia ‘Maroon Fox’ is a perfectly formed miniature pompom dahlia with velvety deep maroon flowers measuring about 8cm across held on sturdy stems well above the foliage. One of the smaller flowered varieties, it is extremely free-flowering, producing an abundance of weather-resistant blooms from midsummer until autumn. Blends beautifully into herbaceous borders as well as making an excellent container specimen. Also superb for exhibition and long-lasting cut flowers. Height: 60-90cm (24-36in). Spread: 50cm (20in).

Choose a sunny position in moist well drained soil. Prepare the soil by digging in plenty of well rotted manure or compost. Plant tubers at a depth of 15cm (6″) and water well. Alternatively, start tubers into growth in pots of compost in a frost free greenhouse. Transplant them into their final positions outdoors in June.
