From late summer onwards, many container displays start to run out of steam, especially in a hot, dry summer. But these top performing dahlias are guaranteed to put life back into the garden. Selected for their flowering and growth, Dreamy™ dahlias bloom profusely from midsummer until the first frosts. They have been carefully bred to have excellent pot performance, remaining nicely compact and firm but not too firm, so the flowers sway in the breeze and retain a natural appearance. Their large, self-cleaning flowers come in punchy colours which stand out dramatically against shiny, dark green, almost bronze leaves. Height 45cm (18in). Spread: 40cm (16in).

Pot up Dahlia plants and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise dahlia plants to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before planting out in beds, borders and containers. Choose a position in full sun on any rich fertile, moist, well drained soil.
