Chrysanthemum Xanthe Hanging Basket Collection

Chrysanthemums provide vibrant, long-lasting flowers late in the season when other flowering plants are flagging. Chrysanthemum ‘Xanthe’ Collection are the worlds first hanging basket chrysanthemum. They will reward you with rounded cushions of colour from September right through until the first frosts, adding a bright accent of colour to a doorway or patio. Height: 30cm (12”). Spread: 50cm (20”).

Chrysanthemum Xanthe Hanging Basket Collection comprises 10 jumbo plugs, 2 of each of the following varieties:

• Chrysanthemum Xanthe Yellow
• Chrysanthemum Xanthe White
• Chrysanthemum Xanthe Orange
• Chrysanthemum Xanthe Magenta
• Chrysanthemum Xanthe Blush – (pale pink)

Chrysanthemums provide pompom-like, long-lasting flowers late in the season when other flowering plants are flagging. Pot up decorative chrysanthemum plants and grow them on in bright frost free conditions. Pinch out the top 5cm of each stem when they reach a height of 15cm to produce a bushier plant with more flowers. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise chrysanthemum plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days before planting them out in borders and containers in fertile, well drained soil. Choose a sheltered position in full sun.
