Carex Pendula (Marginal Aquatic)

This tall deciduous grass makes an attractive waterside perennial. Pendulous Sedge forms dense clumps of leathery dark green foliage with a gently weeping habit. Throughout summer Carex pendula throws up tall drooping seed heads, reminiscent of large catkins, which make a striking feature. This British native is ideal for planting in the wet soil around ponds and lakes, or to the back of damp borders and bog gardens. Height and spread: 120cm (36″). Planting depth: Zones 1, & 2 to 15cm below water level.
