Bidens Collection

Bidens make superb filler for mixed baskets and containers! These neat little plants come from modern breeding, boasting a compact habit and plenty of colourful blooms. They also work well in beds and borders, softening the edges of pathways with their feathery foliage. Height: 30cm (12″). Spread: 35cm (14″).

• Bidens ‘Yellow Port Royal’ – Sunshine yellow, semi-double blooms.
• Bidens ‘Taka Tuka® M Red Yellow Center’ – A neat, compact habit with extraordinary bicolour blooms.
• Bidens ‘Pink Princess’ – Feathery foliage and pink bicolour blooms.
Modern breeding has made huge advances in improving Bidens, transforming these somewhat straggly species into compact, bushy bedding plants. This colourful collection brings together 3 recent introductions. Pot up bidens plugs and grow them on in frost free conditions for transplanting at a later date. Pinch out the growing points while the plants are still small to encourage more stems. Regular pinching will create a shapely compact plant that is perfect for containers. When plants are well grown acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days prior to planting them in their final positions. Grow Bidens plants in containers, hanging baskets and borders in any well drained soil in full sun.
