Armeria Maritima Splendens

Sea thrift is the ideal plant for coastal gardens or those who want a reminder of the seaside! Armeria maritima ‘Spendens’ produces dark pink lollipop-like flowerheads on slightly taller stems, which are held above neat, mounded cushions of grass-like evergreen foliage in late spring and summer. This compact, low-growing perennial is perfect for rockeries, gravel gardens and the front of sunny borders. Once established, sea pinks are tough, reliable and drought resistant, making them a low-maintenance choice that is easy to grow. Height: 20cm (8″). Spread: 25cm (10″).

. Plant Armeria in full sun on well drained soil. Sea Thrift is tolerant of poor sandy soils once established and copes well in coastal areas. On heavier soils, incorporate plenty of grit to improve drainage, prior to planting.
