Anemone ‘Satin Doll Blush’

This dwarf, Japanese anemone has all the charm of larger varieties but comes in a delightfully petite, well-behaved package.

Reaching only 25cm high, Anemone ‘Satin Doll Blush’ still manages a high flower count of classic anemone blooms, with simple shell-pink petals and a ring of golden anthers. The deeply divided leaves are glossy and dark green.

Anemone ‘Satin Doll Blush’ runs less than older varieties and unlike tall anemones, its short stems will not flop or require staking. ‘Satin Doll Blush’ is also one of the earliest anemones to begin flowering in July, and one of the longest – providing a display well into the autumn. This dainty anemone is perfect for ground cover or running along the edges of borders in partial shade. It even does well in pots, occupying shady areas around the house where other flowering plants won’t perform. Like other varieties, it is invaluable for providing colour later in the season, just when other perennials have faded. Height: 25cm (10in). Spread: 45cm (18in).
