Alisma Plantago-aquatica (Marginal Aquatic)

Alisma plantago-aquatica forms pleasing drifts of broad grey-green lanceolate foliage. Throughout summer, a profusion of tall stems bear airy panicles of small white or pink flowers. This marginal aquatic thrives in boggy soil or the shallow margins of ponds. Water Plantain is a hardy perennial British native making a useful contribution to wildlife ponds. Height: 90cm (36″). Spread: 45cm (18″). Planting depth: Zone 1 & 2 to 15cm below water level.
